Myspace, Intel and Yahoo have launched a social networking application that allows people to surf Myspace on their TV while watching it. This means people can read and reply to messages, comments and everything else without being at their computer.

I am sure a lot of people have heard of the massive success applications brought to Facebook in the past couple of years. Well Myspace recently joined the applications bandwagon and I have been watching it quite closely as web applications interest me, as does Myspace.

The Creative Director of Fox Interactive Media FIMLabs division, Don Synsetlien, recently left a comment on my MySpace profile showing off a new SpringWidget Christmas tree widget (see below). Don, obviously a funny guy, left the comment “Hack this tree”. Just think, Don’s getting paid big bucks paid to harass struggling writers; some guys just have all the luck!

The secret that everyone knew about is out in the open. TheSpringBox, now renamed SpringWidgets, has been revealed as Fox Interactive’s widget platform, according to Pete Cashmore from Mashable. The announcement was made at the Widgets Live conference.
