On Myspace there are a number of things that it is against their terms of service to hide. I thought that I should probably post an updated “list” of what they are because there have been a few additions since the Hacking Myspace book was published.

Hiding parts of your Myspace profile is one trick a lot of people like to do. Mainly for one of two reasons; an increase in their privacy and/or for layout purposes (when creating a div layout for example).

MySpace is constantly changing its web site by either adding new features or improving current features. One of its most recent changes has been the new “web 2.0″ navigation bar, which obviously an attempt to try to modernize the website and make it easier to navigate.

Microsoft’s new Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar (still in Beta) is a great tool if you’re creating a MySpace div overlay layout, or if you want to understand how somebody else’s layout works, or if you want to work out the sequence of tags to specify an element (if you want to hide it for example).

MySpace made easy is a simple little site (well actually it’s a Squidoo page) that provides some useful “old-school” CSS codes for MySpace profiles, mainly along the lines of hiding certain elements of your profile.
