It seems that Myspace has recently created a new feature in their profiles similar to that of the BBC homepage where you can move “modules” of information around on the page.
I have only noticed it on some profiles so far, but it looks like an interesting development for Myspace and I thought I should say something about it.
I honestly think that this is a great thing for Myspace to implement. Their site needed a new look and this could be it. It just looks much more modern and clean (or “web 2.0″ if you know about these things).
Here is what one of these new pages looks like (blurred out any information about the person):

The first thing you will notice is the means of contacting them has changed - there is no “contact table” (sorry to all those who own contact table image sites). The rest will be fairly obvious too - the rounded corners, etc.
What I have not mentioned is that each of these tables or “modules” can be moved on the page, so your music player and video could be under your comments for example. This is all done through the profile editor.
The only thing I am worried about is that old profile codes won’t work and we will have to create new ones. This would be really annoying to all those who have a div layout. I am not sure of this and will look into it more later on, but I hope this is not the case.
Anyway, just have a look around Myspace and you will see these changes taking effect. They might have even changed your page so have a look and play about with the editor, I’m sure it will be fun for a short while at least.
