Do you enjoy traveling? Do you like sharing your travel tales? Well, this new widget from Travbuddy, a social networking site for travelers, allows you to create a MySpace-compatible widget that shows which countries you’ve visited.
It’s very easy to use. You’re presented with a list of countries by region, and you simply put a check next the countries you’ve visited.
You can then given code for three different map sizes, 750 x 445 px, 550 x 338 px and 400 x 258 px, which you can paste into your MySpace profile.
You can see from the map above the countries that I have visited, which according to TravBuddy, means I have visited 6% of the countries of the world. I’m not sure whether to be happy or sad about that.
Also, it’s worth mentioning that the TravBuddy site seems looks very interesting. It’s been set up to help you meet fellow travelers, and exchange travel experiences.
If you’ve ever traveled to a foreign country you’ll know how handy it can be to get first hand advice from someone who’s already been there.
As a social networking concept TravBuddy make sense, and it’ll be interesting to see how it fares in an increasingly crowded market of social networking sites.
