Criminals are using the MySpace brand name in emails to hundreds of thousands of computer users in an attempt to get them to reveal their credit card details, according to a report in SC magazine.
The fake emails try to entice recipients to purchase online music from a sham online music store.
I haven’t seen the email myself, but if you have, please post it as a comment.
My general advice is to avoid visiting web sites from links in unsolicited emails. It’s very dangerous, and sometimes the criminals create very real-looking fake emails and web sites in order to convince you that it’s a legitimate web site.

I have received three of these bogus emails so far. They were addressed to an email address that is not registered at MySpace.
I tried torwarding them to spoof@myspace.com (figuring it made sense since there is spoof@paypal.com and spoof@ebay.com), but they were returned.
